Just a cutesy picture I decided to post~ Last one, I swear!

This is my newest creation! Slowpoke and Slowbro are my second favorite water Pokemon in Generation I (the first being Blastoise), and Slowking is my favorite water pokemon in II. And they're my favorite psychic pokemon from both generations. I've never been too wild about post psychic types, but... there's just something adorable about these guys!

For Slowpoke and Slowbro, it's the fact that they are strong psychic types, but... well... they're not all there.
And for Slowking it's the fact that he changes from a dimbwitted Slowpoke into a pokemon that even challenges Alakazam and Metagross in intelligence!

My long winded spiel aside, Slowpoke has always had a strange charm to him, and he's definitely one of my favorites, but the real reason I wanted to make him was the practice making plushies with opened mouths. I think it came out nice!

How did you determine the size to make it, from the anime or from the games? I've seen a couple different life-sized of these guys, and nobody seems to have a consensus if is a head to tail measurement, or floor to top of the head measurement.

Well, you start off with the measurements from the official Pokedex as well as from the anime. Since the Pokedex is featured IN the anime, it's the safest bet. Judging from scenes of Misty and a Slowpoke together, it seems it would be head to tail or at least head to bottom. I tend to look at scenes with pokemon with humans. I do this with many other characters from other things as well!

Such as Sonic. I'm planning on making a lifesize of him soon. As much as Sonic 06 sucks, it comes in handy that they have a human character my height because I can couple that with their known measurements to figure out just how big to make him!

I've always had a weird ability to make things just as I see them. So typically I'll try to see how big they are in the anime, shows, or games they're in.

Ah, so how I do it, then. I've just seen some people make some...ahem, interesting judgements on how to determine a Pokemon's 1/1 size, and I was curious if you did it the same way as me, since yours looked so nice

I'm glad to know I'm on the same bandwagon for measurement as you.
